Rumor Killer: Mickey Rourke Not In The Expendables 3

Time to bust another rumor on The Expendables 3.  There’s a picture floating around of Bas Rutten and Mickey Rourke appearing with Mel Gibson.  Some places are claiming this is from The Expendables 3 set, leading to speculation that this is one of the ‘surprises’ that Sylvester Stallone and Robert Davi alluded to – that Mickey Rourke will cameo as Tool once again.

Nope.

The picture is from a party attended by all three in September, a month before Mel appeared on the set of The Expendables 3.  The picture is taken from Bas Rutten’s Facebook.  So no, there won’t be a Mickey Rourke secret cameo.  Bas also sticks up for Mel is his comment section, speaking on Mel’s rant: “He was drunk when they recorded that episode, why do you think they recorded it? Because that video got sold of course. Listen, I have been drunk only a few times I said hateful stuff, something not “like me” at all.”  Bas Rutten is a Manly Man.
