Van Damme’s Next Two Movies – ManlyMovie

Van Damme’s Next Two Movies

So what’s up next for Jean Claude Van Damme?  Well he has two movies on the horizon.  The first is Full Love, the second is Pound Of Flesh.  Actually another movie, Remember Paris, will follow as mentioned in our exclusive interview with Swelter director Keith Parmer, but we’re not ready to talk about that one yet.

Full Love (formerly The Eagle Path) will be the first, hopefully released by the end of the year.  It’s a pet project of Van Damme’s, written, directed, produced by and starring him.  The movies is about “A military veteran and former mercenary named Frenchy is haunted by his childhood, as well as his past in the military.”  The film was shot in 2008 in Thailand, so it’s been a long process with Van Damme editing and re-editng.  You can actually see him working on the editing process in the documentary series Behind Closed Doors, which itself is three years old.  The film had a screening in Shanghai this year and is described as “okay”.

The second movie is Pound Of Flesh, which sounds more interesting, due for an undisclosed 2015 release.  In that movie “A man’s heroic attempt to help a woman in distress ends up with him waking up the next day without a kidney and plotting his revenge.”  The film however is directed by Ernie Barbarash, so take from that what you will.  These are DTV movies obviously, so it’ll probably be a while, if at all, before we see Van Damme go theatrical again.
