Rock On His Statham Fight: “Best Fucking Fight”

One of the big pitches of “Furious 7” (for us anyway) is a fight scene to take place between The Rock and Jason Statham.  It could very well steal the movie.  The Rock seems to think highly of it anyway.  Here is what he told Total Film recently:

“It’s not like we get on set and everybody’s comparing muscles.  Jason has a very specific skill set that complemented my skill set. We had what will go down as one of the best fucking fights in movies… At least one of the best fucking fights of April that you’ll see [laughs]. I enjoyed his intensity. I was trained for many years as a wrestler him as a martial artist. It was a nice blend. He brings a great authenticity to the movie.”

Supposedly Jason Statham will also throw down with Vin Diesel.  An interesting question is whether or not they’ll go ahead and kill Statham’s character off, since he is the biggest villain to be cast in the series so far.  Tyrese Gibson has also been referring to him as “part  of the family now”.  Also, will Tony Jaa (Louie Tran) be his ally?
