Vin Diesel Says xXx Sequel Films This December

vindieselxxxI had almost forgotten that this film series even existed.  I do remember when it started though, back in 2001 when they were hyping it (the first came out in 2002).  They were trying to consolidate Vin Diesel’s breakthrough from The Fast & the Furious and also capitalize on the fact that Bond had stagnated (stagnated badly) by introducing a ’21st Century Sports Bond’… or something.

Anyway, a third movie, or a second movie starring Vin Diesel (sorry, Ice Cube) is apparently going to begin production this winter.  Vin Diesel shared the following on Instagram, I wonder if he jelly about The Rock being the People’s Champ of that wing of social media?

‘While I was filming XXX, guys on set called me Air Diesel… The time to return has come. Filming starts December in the Philippines.’

Vin Diesel for a lil while pissed all over his career. Decided not to return to the “F & F” Series & also dropped out of the sequel to “XXX”
Then producers decided to have a new character for the sequel & have the name XXX be the codename for the new agent.
(The character of Xander Cage was killed when Diesel opted not fo return. They just mention it in passing. On the disc for the sequel theres a short movie titled “the death of Xander Cage” with another actor of course playing the part)
*Ice Cube was recruited to lead the sequel. But for a gansta rapper wbo always acted tough he wasn’t that believable as a hard ass action lead.
Funny contradiction Ice Cube one of the pioneers of gangsta rap always did better in family fare then as a tough guy on screen.
*The plan was to have a successful action spy series with a differentl lead every time with Samuel Jackson being the recruiter in every picture of the series.
But since the second wasn’t well received..those plans never came to fruition

    Gon’ be PG-13.

And this, my fellow, manly men, is why The Rock and Vin Diesel can never be in the same league as Statham, WIllis, Stallone, and Arnold. Weak early-teen action movies.

Vin is so scared to make an R-rated movie with an original character these days that he practically has only one movie: FF, and that’s an ensemble piece He could’ve been so much bigger as an action star.

Don’t get me started on The Rock.

I do find the Ice Cube thing ironic, though. Onscreen, he always came acoss as tubby, and hence, not believable.
