Aronofsky Helming Evel Knievel Biopic

Darren Aronofsky is said to have signed on to direct Evil Knievel, the biopic about the famous stuntman at Sony Pictures, Film 44 and Trigger Street.

Evel was a true manly man and if you think on it, this is long overdue.  He is the world record holder for surviving the most broken bones in a lifetime.

Aronofsky will take over from Peter Berg who had previously signed on but has now reportedly dropped out for unknown reasons.  Actually, Channing Tatum is also attached to star in the film which boasts a script which Scott Silver (The Fighter, 8 Mile) has performed a re-write of the original draft by Reid Carolin.

Tatum will also produce (is there anything that guy isn’t producing?) alongside Dana Brunetti and Michael De Luca.
