McGregor Sought For XXX Sequel

Vin Diesel returns as extreme sports enthusiast Xander Cage at some point, for the third movie in the xXx series. Apparently things are moving forward with that project with casting ideas being thrown up.  Samuel L. Jackson will return to the franchise in the role of NSA agent Augustus Gibbons, that’s confirmed.

Another idea is MMA fighter Connor McGregor.

Diesel revealed Jackson’s casting on Facebook and suggested McGregor’s casting in an Instagram post. Fox Sports were then able to confirm that McGregor has indeed been offered an unspecified role in the film, but has not yet reached a deal.  I’m sure the deal involves getting beaten up by Vin Diesel in his four inch platform boots on screen.

Either way I guess at some point we’ll see McGregor appearing opposite Vinnie Jones in some bottom feeding VOD movie.
