Stallone Picks Up Golden Globe

At the weekend the Golden Globe awards were presented.  Among the hosts were Mel Gibson and Jason Statham. And among the winners?  Sylvester Stallone for his supporting role in Creed, one of the better movies from last year, with one of the better performances.

Best Motion Picture: Drama – “THE REVENANT”
Best Motion Picture: Comedy/Musical – “THE MARTIAN”
Best Director: Motion Picture – ALEJANDRO GONZALEZ INARRITU for “THE REVENANT”
Best Actor in a Motion Picture: Drama – LEONARDO DICAPRIO in “THE REVENANT”
Best Actor in a Motion Picture: Comedy/Musical – MATT DAMON in “THE MARTIAN”
Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture – SYLVESTER STALLONE in “CREED”
Best Original Score in a Motion Picture – ENNIO MORRICONE for “THE HATEFUL EIGHT”

So a good and fair turnout it seems, both The Revenant and Stallone as well as Iñárritu deserved their awards.  I’m sure this is vindication for Stallone having been snubbed for Cop Land.
