Alien 5/Covenant News

Check out that picture.  It’s the first from Alien: Covenant, released by Fox.

In the new film the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discover the planet’s sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. Jack Paglen and Michael Green penned the screenplay which Scott will once again direct. The film is in early production in Sydney Australia.

But there is also news about Alien 5, as people like to call it.  Sigourney Weaver keeps talking about this movie, I wonder if she’s lobbying for it against ‘Covenant’.  According to SciFied.com, Ripley, Hicks and Newt will reunite;

During the discussion, one fan asked Sigourney about Alien 5, naturally and thanks to AvPGalaxy member CainsSon we have a rough breakdown of what was said! In short, she mentions that Alien 5 will be the most satisfying ending to the story and will include the return of Cpl. Hicks and possibly even Bishop from Aliens! She also mentions that Alien 5 will not wipe out Alien 3 or Alien: Resurrection, but rather run parallel to them.

Bishop could be recreated with CGI I think, if you’re talking about a badly screwed up upper torso…
