New Aliens Sequel Concept Art

Last year Neill Blomkamp took to social media to reveal that he was once pegged to film an alternate sequel to Aliens, but the project was DOA.  In turn he uploaded artwork for the proposed cancelled movie, but in a funny twist the positive feedback put the movie back on the map.

Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant (I like how they now feel obliged to put Alien back in the title) has sidelined the movie again, Fox won’t move on ‘Alien3 V2’ until Scott’s movie is done.

Still going ahead though.  To celebrate Alien Day, Blomkamp has uploaded concept art of Newt, based on Carrie Hen.  It’ll be interesting to see where the film goes from here and how it might tie into ‘Covenant’.
