4) Schwarzenegger Looked Old And Stupid
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ‘T-850’ (again, another lazy attempt to ‘one up’ Terminator 2 by adding an extra 50 onto the number) looked awkward in this movie. The first two T-800s looked like they really did come off an assembly line.
This one looks different, aged, with no explanation (not that I can remember) for that. It also looked like it spent a good deal of time being sprayed with fake tan, maybe to try and make Arnold look younger, but only worsening his appearance.
It also seemed to me like Arnold thought he had the whole Terminator business down, including movements etc. But too much in this movie, he looks like a regular person walking about. That’s because Cameron’s filter is missing. In Cameron’s movies, Schwarzenegger cooler and meaner, and was filmed from lower angles quite often, making him look larger than life. Take the scene in the third movie where Schwarzenegger lumbers towards Connor, while suffering CPU corruption; Arnold walks like something from a cartoon… Cameron would’ve stepped in here and told him how stupid he looked.
