It Wouldn’t Be A Van Damme Trailer Without A Double

Check out the newly released teaser trailer for Jean Claude Van Johnson, from Amazon.  After a pilot some time ago, the concept was ordered to series and it will debut soon.

Outline: Jean-Claude Van Johnson stars global martial arts & film sensation Jean-Claude Van Damme playing “Jean-Claude Van Damme”, a global martial arts & film sensation, also operating under the simple alias of “Johnson” as the world’s best undercover private contractor.

Of course, would it really be trademark Van Damme (nowadays, anyway…) without the obligatory double?

Having a double put in the hours for you in a 90 minute VOD movie is one thing.  But why is there a double for a 16 second clip?  You’d think that since Amazon has given Van Damme a decent platform here, maybe he’d be at their full disposal?

Maybe it is Van Damme… wearing a rug?
