Escape From Absalom Getting Blu-Ray Treatment

Well, it looks like Ray Liotta’s B-actioner Escape From Absalom/No Escape is finally hitting Blu-Ray, it’s a case of better late than never.  Check out the press release and tentative artwork.

In the year 2022, society has created the ultimate prison – ABSOLOM, a remote jungle island where you’re abandoned and left to the mercy of the other inmates. Sentenced to life for murdering his commanding officer, Marine Captain John Robbins (Ray Liotta) has been banished to the island prison. There he finds himself in the middle of a bloody battle between the Outsiders, led by the brutal Marek (Stuart Wilson, Hot Fuzz) and the Insiders, led by the benevolent Father (Lance Henriksen). Robbins wants nothing of their fight and only one thing – to escape!

ESCAPE FROM ABSOLOM (AKA No Escape) hits Blu-ray for the first time worldwide July 4. Stay tuned for further announcements regarding final artwork and special features!

An underrated action classic. The guy playing Marek should’ve made it much bigger as a villain in other pictures. He had that great combination of crazy and psychotic working to perfection.

He did with Martin Campbell again in the mask of Zorro as Rafael Montero who was Anthony hopkins’s nemesis.

Awesome! Been wanting to see this for a while, but it’s not on Amazon, iTunes, or Netflix. This will probably look a million times better than today’s”jungle” films with all that fake CGI crap.

This movie was released in the states as “No Escape” which is the only title I remember the movie having.

Kick -A$$ 90s movie. Unfortunately if my memory serves me correctly, the movie was not a huge box office hit back in the day. However it kind of developed a following on home video & on cable over the years. But it’s been a long time since I’ve seen it air on American cable TV and I don’t recall having seen it on streaming services in recent times.

Good flick to have on your manly movie collection

I remember this being reviewed on ITV’s The Little Picture Show presented by Mariella Frostrup.

Saw it a few years ago on blu ray and TBH, thought it was better than that daft LW4 which had some pretty stupid comedy moments despite some awesome action scenes with Jet Li. Also check out Stuart Wilson in the underrated Death & The Maiden starring Sigourney Weaver. Very powerful and disturbing with a great climax

LW4 jumped the shark. Too damn much comedy.

Has anyone ever noticed an oddly distorted picture in some scenes in this movie?
