THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK

I’m sure there are plenty of Saints in Newark but Tony Soprano’s father was not one of them.  In the upcoming prequel to The Sopranos, it looks like the role of Soprano Senior has been cast.  According to Deadline James Gandolfini’s son Michael will play the role.

The actor’s screen presence, mastery of the characters mannerisms, and his resemblance to the elder Gandolfini made him the standout choice for the role as no one else who tried out “understood the character better”.
