Hemsworth: Fans Had No Right To Criticize Ghostbusters

Chris Hemsworth appeared in Ghostbusters, a female-orientated reboot that was widely panned and derided.  According to Variety however, Hemsworth has ‘not forgiven’ the fans of the movie who complained.

He would have liked to have done a “Ghostbusters” sequel, and he hasn’t forgiven the online fanboys who viciously attacked the reboot partly because the new stars were played by women. “That whole period I was like, ‘What ownership do you guys have over those characters?’” Hemsworth says. “‘Oh, you watched the film, therefore you should have a say over where it goes?’ I thought it was very unfortunate and kind of disappointing.”

Interesting logic there.  As consumers, you only watched the film.  As hotshots, we starred in it and made it.  Chris, down on the ground, outside one of your ivory towers, there is a saying…

‘Get woke, go broke’.

Imagine a hot dog vendor dismissing complaints of rancid meat, his reasoning being that the patrons don’t even own a stake in the stall?
