NEWS: COBRA KAI, SNIPES, RESIDENT EVIL

COBRA KAI

It looks like Cobra Kai is getting a video game. The trailer has been released which can be viewed above.

Original actors Ralph Macchio and William Zabka lend their voices to the game which will have a skill tree to upgrade, and the ability to build out rival dojos – Daniel’s Miyagi-Do or Johnny’s Cobra Kai – as a key element of the story progression.

Players will have to complete both dojos’ story arcs to see the game’s true conclusion. The game will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One from October 27th.  There appear to be eight characters in the game.

The dislike ratio suggests that this game will not be popular!

COMING 2 AMERICA

They’re making a sequel to Coming to America.  One of the surprise additions to the cast was Wesley Snipes, who informs ET this week that people are going to shit themselves laughing…

You’re going to have to wear a diaper! You’re going to have to put something or some pad underneath because you’re going to just leak all over yourself. I am telling you.”

Snipes also said he auditioned for the role of Daryl Jenks, but was not successful:

“I think it was myself, Eriq La Salle, and I want to say Mario Van Peebles were the finalist in getting that role – and I didn’t get it. I remember [being] in my bathroom, in front of the mirror, and the Denzel Washington tear running down my face. So sad. I thought my career was over. How could I lose that opportunity to work with Eddie Murphy?”

Snipes supposedly plays an African dictator in the new movie.

RESIDENT EVIL

The people behind the awful Resident Evil movies, Constantin Films, still own the rights.  They are also making a series for Netflix.  And it appears the 20-year streak of shittiness by the hands of Constantin Films is going to continue.

According to Variety, the series will once again ignore the original story and go off and spin its own narrative.

It’ll feature a dual timeline, one following two 14 year old girls, daughters of Albert Wesker, as they live their lives in Raccoon City, a place which they find somewhat disturbing.  The other timeline will be set in the future, with only 15 million humans left, but home to six billion monsters.

Okay…
