Ultra Secret Filming Ends For “Terminator”

Filming has just ended for Terminator: Genesis, or simply “Terminator”, today.  And the whole thing was top secret, almost to extremes.  People who had officially got on set were obliged to sign non disclosure agreements, the text of which ran into thousands of words.  Any site that presents info/pictures that have “escaped” swiftly get a cease and desist notice.

Question is — why all the (abnormal) secrecy?  It could be for a few reasons, I am thinking.  First possibility, negative word of mouth.  We put up a picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger on our Facebook page last night.  The first question asked by someone was whether or not it was a joke.  Arnold looked old and haggard in it, it was no joke.  We took it down though.  Discretion being the better part of valour.  Are they afraid of how an OAP Terminator might appear without post-production tuning up?

Another reason could be the simple issue of spoilers.  But all movies have that problem so why are such resources being put on guard for this one?  There’s probably a key time travel/paradox setup being tantamount to the success of this reboot, at least in the eyes of the producers.  They want a trilogy out of it.

Could be a mixture of all of these things.  Maybe they have a specific look for Arnold’s grandpa Terminator, with a huge spoiler being kept under wraps.

Geriatric Arnold is simply doing this because of desperation. He’s desperate to have a movie open in double digits. He can no longer do action roles convincingly and he looks like shit. It’s painful to watch him. He looks cringe-worthy bad. His leading man days are finished. He no longer looks appealing in movies mow. His career is over.

Terminator: Geriatric is going to be a disaster. Nobody wants to see a tired, worn-out grandpa who looks like he needs a wheel chair to get around. I hope this flops big.

You’re going to rile up the Arnold nuthuggers with that comment. I’m sure theres more graceful stuff for him to do like Clint did with Absolute Power but no… Arnold has to make a fool of himself.

But the problem with Arnold is that he just doesn’t have the acting talent to pull off those Eastwood roles. He’s got the emotional range of a brick wall. I don’t think it’s ever going to happen. He simply cannot do character roles.

I actually liked the Last Stand..i thought it was cool. Just marketed the wrong way..promoted like a johnny knoxville light comedy. There still shit for these guys to do. Just have to maybe accept that todays youth are not that interested in them. They can sell their proyects, make some $$$ . Maybe they will not get the same budgets but they get movies. Clint Eastwood great example of a career to follow

I think Arnold should have moved on to something new instead of returning to movies.

He always was a person who loved to challenge himself. He started out in weightlifting, went on to Mr Universe, became a movie legend and ended up in politics, the was I see it, returning to movies was a step backwards for him.

Maybe he should have tried his hand at television instead, a talk show? Or maybe an action based tv series for HBO. He could have probably excelled yet again at something different.
