Rambo Getting Kuwaiti Remake

Move aside Ryan Gosling, Sylvester Stallone’s choice to become the new Rambo (Quote; ‘For real’) if it ever happens in remake format.  Someone else has gotten there first.  Kind of.  In Kuwait they are going ahead with a remake of Rambo.  A spiritual one at least.

The film is going to be called ‘Second Blood’ and feature a man called John Rambu.  Rambu is an ex member of the Kuwaiti Special Forces.  In the past, the Chinese captured Rambu and tortured him very harshly indeed.  Now he is called upon to rescue politicians from an Asian island from the grasp of unscrupulous kidnappers.

But who will play Rambu?  36 year old Kuwaiti Olympian Abdulhadi Al-Khayat, pictured.  The film is being produced by the Jabara Media Group and written by Shehab Al-Fadhli.  This sort of reminds me on the Russian remake of Commando…
