Stallone Set To Play Mob Boss On TV

I think that this may be the best Sylvester Stallone news I’ve heard in a long time.  He’s set to play a mob boss on TV.  He is finalizing a deal to star in Antoine Fuqua’s TV vesion of author Mario Puzo’s novel “Omerta,” his first ever first scripted TV series.

The third in Puzo’s mafia trilogy following “The Godfather” and “The Last Don,” Stallone is expected to play the mafia head at the center of the story.  A network has not taking it up et, but the project will soon be shopped to cable and streaming services and the pilot could film as early as this summer.

Sounds like it could be right up Stallone’s alley.
