That other movie we talk so much had its balls cut off. We know about it, we’ve talked about it. And it seems like it might not be the only August movie to get the PG-13 treatment. The November Man could be next… y’know, the one of the trailer we upped the other day.
Originally Relativity Media had an R Rating for the movie because it featured “strong violence including a sexual assault, language, sexuality/nudity and brief drug use”. But since then they’ve surrendered the R Rating and it is now unrated. I can only speculate that somebody somewhere has gotten the jitters and wants to trim it down to get more butts in the seats. Of course it’s not confirmed but it sure looks this way.
NOTE: THE ‘R’ RATING FOR NOVEMBER MAN (C.A.R.A. CERTIFICATE NIO. 48916, BULLETIN NO. 2311, 5/26/14 HAS BEEN SURRENDERED. THIS FILM IS UNRATED AS OF 6/2/14.
Release Date: August 29, 2014
I really think people need to temper their expectations now. Especially people holding out for a U-turn by Stallone and company. This rating landscape is changing, at least in North America, which is the epicentre of movie production. For now at least.
