Hulk Hogan Talks Expendables 4

A while back Hulk Hogan told a crowd of people at an arena in England, at the Body Power Expo, that not only was he in talks to appear in The Expendables 4, he was in talks to be the lead villain no less.  Some people jumped for joy at such news whilst others smelled the whiff of yet another Terry Boulder yarn.

Now, asked to elaborate on his talks with Stallone, Hogan has done a u-turn and of course, suggests that it was others who assigned his name to the cast.

“I haven’t talked to him. But there’s a bunch of people who have thrown my name around and done stuff. I’d love to read the script. I don’t know how many more Expendables they’re going to make, so I’d love to be in the next one. I’d love to be the bad guy again in a Stallone movie. It would be a lot of fun.”

It’s worth point out the obvious here.  This is classic Hogan.  The man has a, should we say… vivid imagination.  His tales over the years include being asked to join the UFC in the 1990s, being a former member of Metallica and having taken part in a boxing match with George Foreman.  Including, let’s not forget, being ‘in talks’ to appear in The Expendables 2.  And 3.

If you ask me though, what they need to do for The Expendables 4 is totally stack the deck in favour of the villains.  Sign up Jackie Chan and Sensei Seagal as the two baddies, the wrong reflection of Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham.  Of course, what we all know is going to happen is that Avi Lerner will say no to Seagal and Jackie Chan will say no to being a villain.
