The Rock announced earlier this year that a remake of Big Trouble in Little China was on the cards. He said that the movie was his favourite, ever, and was keen to re-do it over again. I guess that’s what happens when you’re Mr. Franchise Saver.
Someone who is not fully on board… yet, is Kurt Russell. Asked whether or not he thinks The Rock could pull it off, Russell says: “You’d have to see it. I don’t know. I don’t know what the movie is. I don’t know what the role is. I don’t know what they’re going after. I have no idea – just like everybody else. I just have to see it and say yeah or nay. There’s no reason not to do it… my wish is that they come up with something that’s better than what we were trying to do.”
It’s nice to see Russell speak his mind instead of coming out with the usual shit and ass kissing. He’s right here, we don’t know if this will be any good and if anything it has an uphill struggle going against it.
