Clive Standen To Head ‘Taken’ TV Series

They’re making a ‘Taken’ TV series, along with just about every other movie you can think of.  And the new show has found its lead in ‘Vikings’ TV series star Clive Standen.  He will play Brian Mills in the new show.

The series will cover the early life of the CIA character played by Liam Neeson in the original trilogy which have grossed over $929 million worldwide.  It’s set to be a sort of prequel reboot, or an origins remake set in the present day, with a young Mills at the centre of the story.

Alexander Carry is writing the script and Alex Graves will direct the pilot episode. Carry will executive produce alongside the film trilogy’s writer and producer Luc Besson.

Pity about the movies though.  There has only been one good one and that’s the European uncut version of the first movie.
