TRAILER: Sniper: Ghost Shooter (2016)

Here’s a trailer for a movie I had no idea even existed.  Another in the ‘Sniper’ series, this one is called ‘Ghost Shooter’.  It has 235,000 views and a fairly savage dislike ratio.  I’m not sure why it’s being hated on so heavily, I’ve seen worse.

The film premieres August 2 on Video on Demand.  The film stars Billy Zane along with Dennis Haysbert and Chad Michael Collins.

This time around, Brandon Beckett and Richard Miller are fighting extremists in the Middle East when the Colonel gives them a new mission: protect a gas pipeline stretching from the Republic of Georgia to Western Europe from terrorists who are eager to make a political statement. After skirmishes with the enemy result in American snipers getting killed by a ghost shooter locked into their exact location, the team suspects a security breach. Fingers are pointed and battle lines are drawn, all leading up to an explosive climax.

The first movie is quite good and easily the best in the series.  The second and third DTV movies are so-so at best, but way ahead of today’s VODmit stuff.
