Jason Statham keeps churning out movies, nearly all of them fitting our niche by the way. His latest is The Mechanic: Resurrection, sequel to the 2011 original and the better movie of the two. If Statham seems to be making a lot of movies, it’s probably because people keep buying ’em. According to USA Today;
Jason Constantine, president of acquisitions and co-productions for Lionsgate, which made Resurrection with Millennium Films, says his company has released 11 movies with Statham.
“Every single movie we have done with Jason Statham has been profitable,” says Constantine. “We’ve been big believers in Jason, and his fan base is getting even bigger.”
I’d call most of Statham’s movies solid. You know what you’re going to get most of the time. Although is it just me or is Statham filming less acrobatic fight scenes these days?
