With The Expendables PG-13 controversy worsening, the first hints of what many of us are expecting — that Terminator: Genesis may be PG-13 too, are emerging. One of the actors from the movie today hyped up the comedy value of the movie.
Here is what J.K. Simmons said:
When it was initially sent to me I was interested but a little sceptical about the project itself. And I read the script and it’s a wonderful script – it’s really smart and it has comedy, and obviously brilliant action and the sci-fi aspect of it, which is not a genre I’ve really been involved in before.
It may be nothing, but it’s probably something. Face guys, this movie is more likely to be PG-13 than any Expendables movie. They are going to push this as a slick sci-fi movie and not a dark, menacing action movie. And what this franchise needs right now is to return to its dark roots — and I don’t mean a 1984 timeline. I mean a killer cyborg ripping out the hearts of men. Not a 70 year old protector cyborg doing stuff that will appeal to some 11 year olds.
