EX3 “R” Cut Already In Existence? Word From Man On Ground

After all the PG-13 controversy over The Expendables 3, and remembering how the first movie had two cuts, or actually an “R” cut trimmed down to PG-13, the latter of which was only witnessed by test audiences… we decided to do some digging and consult our ‘man on the ground’ who worked on set in Bulgaria and throws us a bone every now and again.

Did it look like an R-Rated movie?  “The movie is violent enough to be an R-Rating, there are so many blood and killing”.  On the possibility of two cuts existing: “Usually NU IMAGE uses only one version of their movies, so I think if they cut something, they could put it on the DVD extras and not other version of the movie. But who knows…”

At first I thought that there’d be no time to retool the movie from PG-13 to “R”.  But it (stupidly) didn’t occur to me that the “R” version may already be laying around in some editing room with a slightly shorter PG-13 version sitting next to it.  Keep in mind Stallone said “it’s almost R-Rated”.

So we should probably stay vocal on this…
