Panama, an action thriller to be directed by Mark Neveldine, is set to star Mel Gibson, alongside Cole Hauser. Gibson will have a supporting role in the movie, which will shoot in Puerto Rico in December.
The script, by Daniel Adams and William R. Barber, follows a rugged and decorated ex-marine (Hauser) who is sent undercover by his former commander (Gibson) to execute a high-value deal with untrustworthy adversaries.
But that’s not all.
After filming his scenes for this film, Gibson will then head over to shoot Leo from Toledo, an action thriller being directed by the Nelms brothers that will also shoot in Puerto Rico. This film will see Gibson play a man in witness protection who must protect his family from killer pissants coming to do some harm.
Joe Carnahan will direct that, with Frank Grillo starring (both again working with Mel after Boss Level).
Along with Fatman, it looks like a busy time for The GOAT. We, the viewers, will be the winners.
