LAST ACTION HERO

Some news on Arnold Schwarzenegger here. Starting with some new footage from The Last Action Hero.  The footage is from the new 4K UHD release.  The new release features a remastered version of the movie (but the 1080p version will not be remastered) and the above deleted scenes, all in uncompressed 4K on the UHD disc.

A great movie.  The above scene with the kids flocking to Arnold is a real thing, in a sense, because this is how popular Arnold was with kids back then.  Now it’s… Spiderman 40?

Unfairly treated then, still today somewhat.  It went up against Jurassic Park which did not help things.  One of the great pities of life is that we didn’t get to see a Jack Slater spin off.

NETFLIX/ARNOLD

Arnold has signed appear in an hour-long spy series for Netflix.  His TV debut is a show described as a global spy adventure with a father and daughter at the center of the story.

The story centers on a father (Schwarzenegger) and daughter (Top Gun: Maverick’s Monica Barbaro) who both work for the CIA unbeknownst to the other.

The pair soon realize their relationship is built on lies and they don’t really know each other at all until they are forced to team up and sort through their family issues.
