Arnold in Avatar Sequel? “Probably Not”

Something else popped up in James Cameron’s recent Reddit AMA session.  It was easily missed because well, for my money, Reddit’s interface is a complete mess.  Or maybe I am just getting up in years.

But someone asked him about Arnold appearing in Avatar 2 (or 3 or 4) and this was his response:  “As of right now, he and I have not discussed it. and I don’t see a role as the scripts are coming together that would be appropriate for him, so I would say probably not”.

Bummer.  Arnold is on the ropes right now and the betting man should not put money on Terminator: Genesis getting him out of the hole he’s currently in.  Avatar 2, as a villain, certainly would’ve done that for him.  Last year a rumor surfaced to say that he was, which was eventually debunked by the Hollywood Reporter, to claim that he wasn’t doing Avatar.
