So Who Leaked The Expendables 3?

The Expendables 3 has been leaked.  Aghast!  Old news, though.

So who leaked it?  Good question.  Uploading group RarBG originally were rumoured to be responsible.  They have since taken the unusual step of denying this on their homepage.  Not only that, they point the finger at an anonymous user from 4Chan, an online forum.  The thread in question has been deleted.  However nothing can truly be deleted from the internet, as the producers of this movie now know.

Hello /tv/. Some of you are undoubtedly heavy into piracy and might know what direction to point me in.

There is a recent film in my possession that I will not name (because of how sensitive it is to do so) in DVD format. Don’t even ask. Seriously. Just don’t. 

Say I wanted to leak it online without getting caught. Who would be the right people to get in contact with to help me leak it?

After sustained abuse (it’s 4Chan, and they’re not abusing him for uploading a pirate movie, rather, his inefficiency and slowness in doing so), he returns with an update:

Just updating you guys on this in case you are curious what happened. 

I am in contact with a release group that works with private trackers. They asked me for proof of what I had and I took pictures with a written timestamp of the disc in and out of the box. I dumped them into some special submission link they had and they will get back to me. I’m just waiting in a secured IRC room for them to get back to me once the staff takes a look.

You guys didn’t really help except for that one guy who pointed me in the direction of the nfo files and this group seems pretty legit and well-known. 

I’m not sure why some of you idiots decided to ask me what the movie was even though I said not to ask but I figured as much considering that /tv/ is full of NEETs who have zero reading comprehension and anxiety disorders which is why you will never leave your parent’s homes. 

As for the rest of you: keep an eye out for the leak. No telling how long this will take, but I’m sure it will make its way to public trackers due to the demand for it.

Now obviously, this person has not done this type of thing before.  So it seems to me that doing it for money is ruled out.  The person seems to be an idiot, as 4Chan, for various reasons, is heavily monitored by the F.B.I.  The person seems to be a contact of the studio in some capacity and apparently aggrieved in some fashion.  Who knows what it could be, firing, snubbing, whatever.  I’m betting that he/she is not a spring chicken, considering how clueless they are here as regards to mendacious internet back streets and how to navigate them.  While the movie has been in Europe for at least a week in the hands of select humans, his/her online dialect strikes me as American.

A deliberate act of sabotage looks to be the case here…
