An Update On The ExpendaBelles (2015)

On this site we like to keep you updated on all things Expendables, including the spin off movie they have planned — The ExpendaBelles.  If only through car-wreck interest.

In an update on this project, it seems to have gone through something of a delay but not because of any certain difficulty.  A planned start date of April 2014 is now not happening.  Producer Avi Lerner stated late last year that April was their go time but this is no longer so.  No word on when it actually will go ahead. Additionally The Knight Rider tells me that the movie, as of right now, isn’t actually called The ExpendaBelles and that a crossover of some form (think cameos) is likely.

On that note a rumour of selected names has surfaced over the weekend of female action icons.  The latest in negotiations according to this article are Michelle Rodriguez and Ronda Rousey which alludes further to a possible crossover appearance/linkage.

Other Hollywood stars that names that have been contacted but not known to be in negotiations as a confirmation are Sigourney Weaver, Katee Sackhoff, Ronda Rousey, Meryl Streep, Halle Berry, Carrie-Anne Moss, Geena Davis,  Jennifer Garner, Kate Beckinsale, Sandra Bullock, Michelle Yeoh, Rhona Mitra, Chloe Moretz, Uma Thurman, Lucy Lawless, Angela Bassett, Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, Gina Carano, Pam Grier, Sharon Stone, Brigitte Nielsen and Angelina Jolie.

I guess the good news here and bottom line is that these names are kept separate from The Expendables 4…
