Wahlberg Is The Six Billion Dollar Man

Lone Survivor duo Mark Wahlberg and Peter Berg are set to re-team for “The Six Billion Dollar Man”.

Wahlberg would play former astronaut Steve Austin who, after a horrific crash of an experimental plane, is saved by doctors when he is fitted with bionic replacements including both his legs, his right arm and left eye.  He becomes a force to be reckoned with for the government as a secret agent for the Office of Scientific Intelligence. Various writers are said to be circling the project.

The concept comes from the original 1970’s TV series “The Six Million Dollar Man”.  Berg, Sarah Aubrey, Stephen Levinson and Bob Weinstein will produce, and Universal Pictures may partly finance the film as well.
