Robet Davi Talks Expendables 3

Robert Davi will appear in The Expendables 3.  We assume he’ll play a villain and associate of Mel Gibson (Conrad Stonebanks).  His role though will only be an extended cameo.  Davi has been speaking briefly about the role.  He says he’ll play the role of Goran Vogner.  Interestingly, this name does not appear on The Expendables 3 July screenplay that we have, the name must have been altered.  There is however a character named ‘Vata’ in that draft, I took this to be the role that Davi will play.  His main scene involves a meeting with Mel’s character to buy Javelin anti-tank missiles.

Here’s what he had to say:

I have known Sly for many, many years now. My 12 year old son is a huge “Expendables” fan. He just loves those films. This was a film I had to be in! (Laughs) In the film I play the character of Goran Vogner who is head of the Albanian Mafia. That is a great group to be a part of.

I also like that Davi’s son is into old school shit, most kids these days aren’t. The Expendables 3 will hit theatres August 2014.
