Frank Grillo In “The Purge 3”?

frankgrilloFrank Grillo is apparently in talks to join the third film in “The Purge” franchise at Universal, Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes.

The story takes place in a world where one day each year all crime is legalized for a twelve-hour period. Grillo would reprise the role of Sergeant, a man who seeks revenge on the night of the Purge only to get pulled into protecting a group of people left without shelter.

James DeMonaco is penning and directing the new entry which Jason Blum, Sebastien Lemercier, Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are producing. The project begins shooting in September ahead of a July 2016 release.

Grillo’s commitments to DirecTV’s “Kingdom” reportedly threatened his ability to reprise his role, but those issues have been worked out.

Glad to see this guy have success.kudos to him for having success later in life as a man in an industry so obsessed with casting “boys” as men.

Until like 6 months ago i didn’t know about this Grillo guy, to be honest i don’t give a shit about him, so overrated!!

Sorry if you like him that’s my opinion, but i have no idea why some people like him.

    Care to explain?

Long live the 90’s and the older actors.

He was a great bad guy in edge of darkness with Mel Gibson. And captain america 2 he was awesome as Crossbones. So I think he’d be great as a villain in Expendables 4 working with Dwayne Johnson, hulk hogan, Steven Seagal, Jean Reno, etc. If they can get him. Frank grillo is cool. You know who else they should get for expendables 4? Jeff speakman from the perfect weapon and street knight.

Yeah, i rather have 80’s and 90’s forgotten actors than any new guy.

Jeff Speakman did 3-4 funny movies, i like that guy.

I like Grillo – have for a while, and he wasn’t bad in Homefront (2013), either.

Hopefully, they make it crazier than P2. For a film with the subtitle “Anarchy”, it was good, but didn’t quite live up to what could have bin.

Atmosphere, coloring, casting, the Escape from New York vibe, everything was brilliant. It just needed to be crazier and more subtle with the “Don’t ya see? Rich guys be hating on poor folks” subtext.

Imagine this story in the hands of Neveldine/Taylor (Crank).
