At the International Festival of Acapulco film, Sylvester Stallone has been in attendance and has been talking his career as an action star and doing a little hype and promotion for The Expendables 3 due out this August. Stallone mentioned to people in attendance:
“For the first film, we were not sure what we were doing. There was drama, a little comedy, and in the end it’s a bit experimental. But in this third installment, there are many actors like Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Harrison Ford or Wesley Snipes. So it has a lot of potential, and it will, without doubt, the best of all”
Stallone also mentioned that he will be toning down the intensity of his action career, and maybe go back to a sort of ‘Cop Land’ route. Which is expected and understandable:
“This is the direction I want to take today. There is much more I can do in the field of action apart from explode! At that (Cop Land) time, the critics started to bother me because I started in the industry as a serious actor. People forget that in “Rocky” there is only six minutes of boxing. The rest is just me talking!”
