CANNES: Worldview Boards Mel’s Blood Father As Financier

Another good week for the GOAT.

Blood Father has scored Worldview Entertainment to co-finance and produce.  The movie will be directed by Jean-Francois Richet and Erin Moriarty will also star in the movie, adapted from Peter Craig’s best-selling novel.  Craig, who also wrote The Town, which was a very manly movie, also adapted this screenplay.

But it gets better as far as Cannes and Mel are concerned.  This Sunday Mel will show up to promote The Expendables 3 with the majority of the Expendables 3 cast.  They’re going to show up in armored personnel carriers and a stretch of road will be temporarily shut down to facilitate the heavy vehicles and their arrival.
