BREAKING: Shane Black Writing And Directing New Predator Movie

I can’t believe I’m writing this.

This should be probably the best piece of news reported on this site for the entirety of 2014.  Shane Black is both writing and probably directing a new Predator movie.  Shane Black is both writing and probably directing a new Predator movie.  Why’d I say that twice?  Because this thing is going to be as big as a house!

This has been reported by THR: “Black will write the treatment for the project, then will hand over scripting duties to Fred Dekker, his university chum with whom he wrote 1987’s Monster Squad. Black will oversee the writing and is also attached to direct.”

Woah…

John Davis, who produced the original with Joel Silver, is coming aboard as well.

Seriously, how can this motherfucker go wrong?  Even the word ‘reboot’ is not phasing me, right now. Does that rule out Schwarzenegger?  I hope they just keep the original Predator and score.  Hey, who’d like to see Scott Adkins thrown down with a Predator…?
