First Footage From Ayer’s WW2 Thriller Fury (2014)
The first footage has been revealed from David Ayer’s Fury, which I must say is shaping up to be a very good movie and strong contender for manliest movie of the year. The movie is about a Sherman Easy-8 tank crew entering Germany in the last weeks of WW2.
The screenplay is good, better writing from David Ayer than he put out for Sabotage. Very good in fact.
So I guess all that remained was the execution. Well that’s looking good too, first of all because it’s David Ayer but secondly they seem to be taking aesthetics and production real seriously. It’ll feature the debut of a real Tiger tank for example. Also note in the video below, there is mention of using the camera in an ‘elegant’ manner, as in no shaking bullshit. Now that really could be the deal breaker in a movie like this…
