The Expendables 3 Has 16 Producers

All eyes are on The Expendables 3 this week, in more ways than one.  It is a large production with a lot of people on board.  There’s a lot of big names in that ensemble cast, ten or so ‘big names’  But bigger than the cast is the list of producers.

Of course, this is a large ensemble production and it’s always going to be harder to fund a movie with a cast of people that are no longer big draws. But well, one thing is for sure… that’s a lot of cooks in one kitchen. I once thought that The Chronicles Of Riddick had a large producer list, with eight being credited, but this one is pretty bloated. Hulk Hogan once remarked that during his DTV era, he’d purposely aim for a ‘executive producer’ credit, because it meant that you’d get cheques coming through the mail years for years, for essentially doing nothing extra.
