The Raid Remake Is An Ensemble?

So, The Raid remake.  Any news on that?  Yes as it happens.  Sort of.  Director Patrick Hughes has an ensemble feature in mind.

In an interview with Grantland, Hughes says his vision is more in line with “Black Hawk Down” and “Zero Dark Thirty” and he’s casting the film’s twelve integral ensemble roles with the aim of shooting early 2015.  He says after that “I’m pretty sure I won’t be doing a movie with ensembles, camouflage and guns for a while.”

Taylor Kitsch and Frank Grillo are the two main names floating around at the minute.  Two of the Hemsworth brothers, Liam and Chris and possibly Luke as a third were also mentioned at one point.  We expect this movie to be R-rated and heavily serious.  We’d like Scott Adkins to be cast, Hughes has apparently got him “in the mix”.  Hope so.
