After 25 years in development hell, Mad Max: Fury Road is finally close to total completion. Post production is slated to finish up towards the end of November, putting the final period on production of the movie.
Filming began in July 2012 and was shut down in December 17 2012 by a Warner Bros Executive. Having lost the faith of the studio George Miller managed to have a rough cut assembled, which apparently blew the pants off the studio (not PR talk, as no-one has officially said this), winning Miller an additional two weeks of shooting back in Australia to finish the movie.
The movie is said to be a 110 minute chase sequence that is comprised of 80% action. It could well be one of the best movies of 2015.
One other thing, expect a trailer for this movie soon. The ‘trailer’ released in the summer wasn’t actually a trailer or even a teaser, just a promo clip. The actual trailer should appear before Christmas, possibly next month. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it before Interstellar, another Warner Bros. movie. Terminator: Genisys, Fast & Furious 7 and possibly this… November is probably a big month for trailers…
