It is still not confirmed at this time, but British columnist Baz Bamigboye reports that “Django Unchained” and “Horrible Bosses 2” star Christoph Waltz will sign on to play the main villain in the upcoming twenty-fourth James Bond film at Sony Pictures.
Sam Mendes is helming the project and Daniel Craig is set to return as James Bond. It has also been rumored that the character of Blofeld and the organization of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. may return to the franchise after Sony won back the rights a year ago. Could Waltz be the new Blofeld? Waltz looks set to play the villain then with Dave Bautista acting as his henchman. Hopefully we’ll see Craig vs Bautista, in fact the casting call for the henchman says we’ll see exactly that.
Filming is slated to begin in early December in Mexico, Morocco, Austria, Italy and London.
