The first still from director Dito Montiel’s psychological thriller “Man Down” has appeared online. Starring Shia La Beouf, Gary Oldman, Kate Mara, Clifton Collins Jr. and Jai Courtney, the film is currently in production in Louisiana.
Set in a savage post-apocalyptic America, “Man Down” follows U.S. Marine Gabriel Drummer (La Beouf), who is searching desperately for the whereabouts of his estranged son, Jonathan and wife, Natalie (Mara). Accompanied by his best friend Devin Robert (Courtney), a hardnosed marine whose natural instinct is to shoot first and ask questions later, the two intercept Charles (Collins Jr.), an apocalyptic survivor carrying vital information about the whereabouts of Gabriel’s family. As we revisit the past, we are guided in unraveling the puzzle of Gabriel’s experience and what will eventually lead us to the origin of this war torn America.
The film features a screenplay by Adam Simon and is produced by Dawn Krantz, Stephen Mceveety and Jon Burton. The Solution Entertainment Group is handling international sales for Man Down at AFM.
