We already have Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, Walton Goggins and Samuel L. Jackson for Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming western ‘The Hateful Eight’. I also couldn’t help but notice that this cast was slightly…
seasoned (not a bad thing). Now
rumored for the cast is the somewhat younger Channing Tatum.
If he signs on, the role is still unspecified but said to be ‘major’.
The Hateful Eight begins shooting next month apparently. It’s set during a severe storm, with the storm being more than just a background feature (supposedly this is a similar trait Beverly Hills Cop IV has), so I’m guessing they’ll want an organic schedule incase some type of freak weather patterns screws with their movie.
The Hateful Eight is set in Wyoming shortly after the Civil War and focuses on a group of travellers including a sheriff, two bounty hunters and a prisoner. When a blizzard rolls in, they’re forced to abandon their stagecoach and take refuge in a haberdashery. According to THR, while there “the men and women engage in conversation and shootings and Jackson’s character, an African-American Civil War veteran, tries to find out which one of them filled the coffee pot in the room with poison.”
Tarantino thinks he’ll have the movie ready for the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival.
