Manly Movies Coming In 2015

Mad Max: Fury Road – May 15th

Alright, title contender here.  I mean, it’s George fucking Miller.  And I don’t wanna hear no Thunderdome crap, Miller only put his hands to the action sequences of that movie, the rest of it was fucked up by someone else.  He was not the director.  This movie is still kind of a mystery.  R?  PG-13? Serious or silly ‘Furious’ nonsense? I have faith in Miller, especially since the word is that Warner Brothers took a risk and let him run riot.  Now just let that settle in for a while… Miller unleashed…

Synopsis:

Though determined to wander the post-apocalyptic wasteland alone, Mad Max (Tom Hardy) joins Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a fugitive imperator, and her band who are all trying to escape a savage warlord.

The Transporter: Legacy – June 19th

I know not many are usually keen on reboots and that many might have preferred the return of Jason Statham as The Transporter, but there is one possible indicator that this might not be shit.  The original release date has been moved from February to the more competitive June 19th.  I can only suppose that this means that the studio is confident in how they movie could perform.  Ed Skrein replaces Jason Statham, another EuropaCorp production.

Synopsis:

In France, Frank Martin delivers anything for money.

Terminator: Genisys – June 25th

Another Terminator movie is coming in 2015 so that is a significant development.  But let’s face it, it has the odds stacked against it being actually a good movie, let alone a good Terminator movie.  In fact it’s probably going to suck and there are multiple reasons for that.  Either way it’s one to watch, not least for the career of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has gone back on his idea of Terminator movies being R-rated in an apparent gamble to keep his career at the fore.  We’ll see if it works.

Synopsis:

Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) goes back in time to save Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and discovers that she has been raised as a warrior by a Terminator guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger) in an alternate timeline.

Point Break – July 31st

Might as well put a picture of Ray Winstone in there for this one seeing as how he’s the only interesting addition to this movie so far, to me anyway.  Obviously it’s a remake of the 1991 original, starring manly men Keanu Reeves and Patrick ‘pain don’t hurt’ Swayze.  How can they possibly hope to outdo that one?  Some of the rumored action sequences including abstract use of cameras, supposedly.  I hope that does not mean violent shaking or the like.

Synopsis:

Point Break is an upcoming American action thriller film directed by Ericson Core and written by Kurt Wimmer, a remake of 1991 film of the same name, starring Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves and directed by Kathryn Bigelow.
