Manly Movies Coming In 2015

London Has Fallen – October 2nd

Here’s another contender for manliest movie of 2015.  The first movie was a breath of fresh air in amidst the pungent atmosphere of Marvel figurine movies and… well, Marvel figurine movies.  Oh, and D.C. figurine movies dressed up as intelligent thrillers.  A return of the Die Hard clone, it also beat off pissant PG-13 interloper Die Hard clone contender ‘White House Down’ and bludgeoned its insulting corpse on the side of the road.  No chance in hell they’ll tone this one down, they knew what made it a success.  We’ll have an exclusive interview with Creighton Rothenberger closer to release.

Synopsis:

N/A, but expect Gerard Butler (Mike Banning) to terminate foes with extreme prejudice at the funeral of the British Prime Minister.

Spectre – November 6th

This is rumoured to be Daniel Craig’s last James Bond movie and considering the guy’s age, I’m kind of inclined to agree with that one.  So considering that, maybe they’ll go the extra mile for this one.  Good news is that the henchman will return, Dave Bautista will play Mr. Hinx, and he’ll throw down with Bond on a train, maybe a little throwback to an encounter Roger Moore had on a train with Jaws?

Synopsis:

A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.

Mission: Impossible 5 – December 25

mission

Not much is known about this one, except for the usual crew returning (Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames etc) along with Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie coming on board to direct.  Tom Cruise may not be the manliest man on this planet, he’s no Charles Bronson, but at least the midget insists on getting practical.  Some of the stunts he has been involved in thus far for this movie look like they took some balls to do.  Plus the driving/chase sequences seem to have a lot of old school camera techniques going on, as opposed to saying ‘fuck it’ and whoring out on CGI.

Synopsis:

N/A, but expect more of the same light/easily digestible humorous espionage being effective for what it sets out to be.
