First Look At DiCaprio’s Western ‘Revenant’

Entertainment Weekly once again have the first drop on new images as today they have the first look at director Alejandro González Iñárritu’s latest project, The Revenant, starring Leo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy and Will Poulter. The film is set to open in select theaters on December 25.

Currently, the Oscar-nominated director is shooting The Revenant in a remote part of Calgary, Canada.

The film, which will be distributed by Twentieth Century Fox, is based on Michael Punke’s novel The Revenant: A Novel of Revengeabout a trapper who goes after the men who robbed him and left him to die after a bear attack. Iñárritu co-wrote the script for the film with Mark L. Smith.

It’s always good to see and hear of new westerns even if they star Leonardo DiCaprio.  There are quite a few from the genre coming out in the next 12 months, should be a good year as far as these movies go.
