Dead Rising: Watchtower “Zombie Outbreak” Clip

Well men, here is the first clip for upcoming zombie thriller “Dead Rising: Watchtower”.  The popular video game franchise has had a movie in the pipeline for a while but only now is it really coming to fruition.

Dead Rising: Watchtower takes place during a large-scale zombie outbreak. When a mandatory government vaccine fails to stop the infection from spreading, the four leads must evade infection while also pursuing the root of the epidemic, with all signs pointing to a government conspiracy. Politics, public paranoia, and media coverage play an important role in the story’s narrative.

Here is a press statement released a while ago by Deep Silver and Occupant Entertainment:

“Deep Silver has created a highly successful game franchise based on very cinematic, widely viewed and well received trailers, which provide a great template for launching a film franchise with a distinctive and commercial take on the zombie apocalypse.  We want to find the right filmmaker and present somewhat of an open canvas, to make something distinct and original that also appeals to and expands the core audience.”

Also starring Rob Riggle, Harley Morenstein, Keegan Connor Tracey, Aleks Paunovic and Dennis Haysbert, Dead Rising: Watchtower will debut in its feature-length form in the U.S. on Crackle, after which it will also be released on SVOD, DVD, VOD and TV.
