Game Of Thrones Actor Joins Prison/Crime Thriller

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, better known for his time in TV series Game of Thrones, will venture further into the land of movies with his role in upcoming crime thriller Shot Caller.

Relativity Media is in final negotiations to acquire the US rights to the film from writer/director Ric Roman Waugh. Shot Caller follows a gangster who is recently released from prison and forced to orchestrate a major crime on the streets of Southern California.  Sounds almost like John Travolta’s ‘The Forger’.

Waugh went undercover as a parole agent in California to research prison gangs for the film.  The film is set to begin production next month in New Mexico.
