Pics/Video – Gibson At Fury Road Premiere

Guess who made an appearance at the red carpet premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road?  None other than the GOAT (greatest of all time), Mr. Mel Gibson.  The appearance was also said to have been unplanned, with director George Miller being genuinely surprised and happy that Mel showed up.

Actor Tom Hardy revealed some time ago that he met with Mel Gibson in a coffee shop to seek his blessing for the role, which I kind of respect.  After all, war had been declared by everyone on Mel, yet Hardy still felt he needed permission from Gibson himself, regardless of who thought what about him.

“He said ‘All right, buddy, good luck with that.’ Bless him. I made him a bracelet. And then we talked for a couple of hours about all kinds of stuff. I left, and that was that. And then he called up my agent and said: “I think you found someone that’s crazier than I am.'”
